Copying an attribute is useful when you want to create a number of similar attributes. You can copy once, paste many times, and then change the names. You can move attributes using either the right-click menu or drag-and- drop.
Note: You only move inherited
attributes to the top or bottom of table.
To copy and paste attributes
- In the Schema Editor, right-click the attribute you want to copy from and select Copy.
- Select the location you want the attribute to be inserted, right-click, and
select Paste. The copy is placed under the currently selected item.
You can paste the same copy multiple times. Each copy displays with the name of the original and the number of the copy. For example, if you copy an attribute named Line 01, the first copy is Line 01__1, the second copy is Line 01__2, and so on.
Note: If you want to rename a copied attribute then you should do this immediately, before you start to refer to it within your settings. - From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the process and select Apply Schema Changes
- When the message box appears, click OK
