The Postal Matcher uses the output from the Sort Utility process as input to this process. 

To specify US Postal Matcher general options

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the us Postal Matcher process and select Edit Process.
  2. Select the Options tab. The US Postal Matcher Options window displays.
  3. (Optional) Specify How should streets be matched to the postal directory. Options are: Exact match required, Match against likely street candidates, and Match against all streets in city.  
  4. (Optional) In the Maximum amount of memory for streets, specify numeric value that indicates the maximum amount of memory that can be used for the street information.
  5. (Optional) In the Maximum amount of memory for details, specify numeric value that indicates the maximum amount of memory that can be used for the street details information.
  6. (Optional) Click the Data encoding drop-down list and select the encoding used for the input data.The default encoding is Latin1. See Encoding for details.
  7. (Optional) Click the Alias options drop-down list and select the alias option.
    Note: The Alias options will be ignored if CASS mode is selected.
  8. (Optional) You can also use the Census, Delivery Point Validation (DPV) , CASS certification, Residential Delivery Indicator (RDI), LACSLink , SuiteLink  , Abbreviation , Street Details, and Detail Buffer options for the US Postal Matcher.
  9. Click Finish.
