The Japanese (JP) Postal Matcher verifies the accuracy of address data for Japan and returns address details and database matches. There are two Postal Matchers for Japan:
- Standard Japanese Postal Matcher
- The Standard Postal Matcher uses GAV tables provided by Japan Post (Japan Post Service Co., Ltd.). It verifies the input data against the GAV tables and returns level 1 to level 4, postal code and mailing address. Input data can be any combination of geographic elements in Kana or Kanji.
- Japanese Postal Matcher Address Code Edition (ACE)
- The Postal Matcher Address Code Edition (ACE) uses address dictionaries provided by Agrex Inc. of Japan. In addition to the fields that are returned by the Standard Postal Matcher, it returns address code and bar code. Input data can be any combination of geographic elements in Kana or Kanji or address code.
Note: The Japanese Postal Matcher Address Code Edition (ACE) is an optional component of
Trillium. If this is part of your implementation, you
must install the ACE GAV Tables first to enable this component.
