The Parser Tuner is used to review problems reported by the Parser process and to update the custom definition tables. You can use the Parser Tuner to:
  • View the Standard Definitions files (CDP only).
  • Add, remove, or modify the words, phrases, and patterns in the Customized Definitions files (word definition tables).
  • Add, remove, or modify the words in the Ignore Words tables (BDP only).
  • Evaluate city problem entries against an auxiliary city table (US CDP only).
  • Convert a word/pattern table into a delimited format.
  • Sort the words and phrases in a word/pattern table.
Guidelines:
  • Changes you make with the Parser Tuner are cached in temporary files until you click Finish in the CDP or BDP process.
  • After you open the Parser Tuner, you can work in both the Control Center and in the Parser Tuner at the same time.
  • You can run the CDP Parser Tuner and test your customization changes outside of the Control Center. See Using the External Parser Tuner for details.
