When you modify existing Parser definitions in the Customized Definition table, use the following three operations:
- INSERT. Inserts an entry in a table. INSERT is the default operation when an entry is added to the table.
- MODIFY. Replaces an existing entry in a table. Use MODIFY to change a default definition in the Standardized Definition table by creating an entry in the Customized Definition table. The parsing customization process will combine entries from the two tables into one output file that is used by the Parser.
- DELETE. Deletes an entry from a table.
Note: When deleting synonyms, you must enter the actual synonym. When deleting patterns, you
must enter the actual pattern followed by DELETE PATTERN.
