The Data Browser contains a special export function. This allows you to take a range of records from a file, and then use those records to create a new data file or a DDL file.
Guidelines:
- A data file with or without a DDL and certain delimited files (comma, tab, pipe, and semicolon) can be exported.
- You can export data only from the record level view. You cannot export from the hex view.
- If the size of the data file is zero, the Export option is disabled.

Export data to a delimited file
To export data to a delimited file

Select the delimiter for the new file from the drop-down menu.
