The only required setup for the Customer Data Parser is to identify the attributes that represent name and address data in your records. This can be done during project creation or after project creation. As long as you define the name and address attributes, you can run the Customer Data Parser without further customization.
However, the Customer Data Parser provides many options for customizing the process. Tuning the CDP by customizing settings can improve the efficiency of the process and produce an output entity that better fits your specific requirements.
The setup options are:
- Schema Editor: Use this option to add the PREPOS attributes and name sections to the output file.
- Input Settings: Use this option to filter or limit the input records processed by the CDP.
- Options: Use this option to perform a number of customization tasks to ensure the output matches your business needs.
- Parser Tuner: Use this option to launch the Parser Tuner, which enables you to tune the phrases and data patterns that are used by the CDP process.
- Output Settings: Use this option to filter the output records.
- Advanced Rules: Use this option to upload one of the rules files for editing or to define a different one.
