The Convert Kana characters option specifies how to handle the small katakana characters (soku-on, yo-on) in the hankaku attribute.
Small characters are: ァィゥェォッャュョ.

A lookup based on the parsing definitions tables always converts small characters into large characters. However, the output format will be determined by this option.
When you register additional entries to the Customized Definitions Table, make each entry consistent with this option. For example, if the option is set to "Keep Characters Small" and you made an additional entry in large characters, the lookup is done in small characters only, and large characters in the additional entries will not be recognized.
