The Customer Data Parser (CDP) identifies personal and business names for China, Korea, and Taiwan.

To specify Parser options for China, Korea, and Taiwan

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Customer Data Parser process and select Edit Process. You can also double-click the process to open it for editing.
  2. Select the Options tab.
  3. For each line you have specified for the Parser Input, select one of the line types from the list.

If the Transformer is run before the CDP, you have already specified the Parser inputs in the Transformer and Lines 1 - 10 match those inputs. If you do not have the preceding Transformer or you want to override your selection, go to the Line Attributes section in the right-hand pane and select each Line n Attribute (n = 1-10) from the list.

  4. By default, the CDP generates a Parsing Exception file that includes the final masks for all records (pr_mask_final). Check the box next to Only include masks with unknown tokens if you want only records with unknown tokens will be selected for the exceptions file. A Parsing Exception file is generated in the entity folder in the repository directory (for example, C:/ProgramData/Trillium Software/.../metabase/repository_name/entity_id\entity_id_parse_exceptions.txt).
  5. Check the box next to Reverse first/last names to reverse personal name. If this option is checked and there is an ASCII name, the first token will be the first name and the second token will be the last name. Asian names are normally in the last/first order.
  6. If you are adding definitions to the Customized Definitions Table, select Customized definitions file encoding from the list.
