While creating a new project, you can add a Geocoder process to the project by selecting the Include Geocoding option in the Create Project wizard.
Note: Certain countries do not use the Geocoder process. For example, the U.S. Postal
Matcher provides latitude and longitude data, so U.S. projects do not use the
Geocoder.
You can add a Geocoder to an existing single-country or multi-country project.
To add a Geocoder process to an existing single-country project:
- There must be a preceding Customer Data Parser or Postal Matcher in the process flow.
- If the project includes a Global Postal Matcher process, the Geocoder process must be added after the Transformer Data Reconstruction process.
- If the project is a SAP project, the Geocoder must be added after the final Transformer Label Lines process.
To add a Geocoder process to an existing single-country project
- Based on the guidelines provided above, select the process that will follow the Geocoder process. (New processes are always added above the current process.) For example, select the Window Key Generator process.
- Right-click and select Insert New Process.
- Select Geocoder from the Create Process list and click OK.
