After you launch the Directory Browser and select the browsing type (Postal or Geocoding), the City Level window opens. From here, you can search for a particular city and drill-down to the lower level postal or geocoding directories, if available.

Note: For Japan, select Display Type ( 0 - Personal KANJI or 1- Personal KANA) to switch between kanji and kana display.)

Browse a city level directory

To browse a city level directory

  1. Use one of the search boxes in the upper part of the window to search for a particular city. As you enter data in the search box, the program searches for your entry.
    Note: You need only enter information in one of the search windows in order for the program to determine the values of the other fields.
  2. To sort rows, click the sorting arrow in the column header.
  3. (Optional) To clear the search boxes, click Clear.

To browse street level directory

  1. Once you have selected a city, double-click the entry or click Run to bring up the Street Level window.
  2. To search for a particular street, use the search box. As you enter data in the search box, the program searches for your entry.
  3. (Optional) To clear the search box, click Clear.
    Note: Postal directory information may be available under blank entries. For example, for Sweden, some of the PO Box addresses are displayed when you drill-down on the blank entry in the Street Level.

To browse the street details

  1. Once you have selected a street, double-click the street name or click Run to bring up the Street Level Details window.
  2. Scroll to view the data presented by the Directory browser.
    Note: The fields in the street detail vary from country to country. For example, for the US the street level detail includes the street suffix, as well as the lowest and highest primary street numbers.
