The TSS ODBC loader connection allows you to directly connect to an external database without installing any external component. For example, using the TSS ODBC loader connection, you can read from and write to an Oracle database without the Oracle client.
You can create a connection to access data sources residing in 64-bit databases, depending on the data source and operating system you are using.

The TSS ODBC loader connection does not require a port; it uses the same port as the server and is installed as part of the server.
