Both OLE DB and ODBC Reporting Adapters support loading data into 32-bit and 64-bit third-party applications. Note the following to understand what you need to install:

  • To use the OLE DB Reporting Adapter with a 64-bit version of a third-party application, you must install the 64-bit version of the OLE DB Reporting Adapter. The OLE DB Provider (64-bit) is available as a separate installation package.

  • To use the ODBC Reporting Adapter with a 64-bit version of a third-party application, you must install the 64-bit version of the ODBC Reporting Adapter. The ODBC Reporting Adapter (64-bit) is available as a separate installation package.

  • To use the ODBC Reporting Adapter with a 32-bit version of a third-party application, you must install the 32-bit version of the ODBC Reporting Adapter. The ODBC Reporting Adapter (32-bit) is available as a separate installation package.

  • The OLE DB Reporting Adapter (32-bit) is installed automatically when you install the client/Control Center software. No additional installation is required.

Note: Trillium 17.1 versions of the Trillium 32-bit ODBC Reporting Adapter, 64-bit ODBC Reporting Adapter, and the 64-bit OLE DB Reporting Adapter applications cannot reside on the same system or systems as earlier versions of the same applications. Either uninstall the earlier versions of the applications before you install the 17.1 versions on the same system or install the 17.1 versions on a different system or systems.
