You use the Expression Builder to define the data filter or to define an additional column for the List view. The elements used to build an expression are located in the lower left window of the Filter List View or Create Column window. There are four expression elements:
- Attributes. A list of attributes available for the active List View.
- Functions. There are various types of functions, including Date/Time, Metadata, Numeric, String, and Quality.
- Literals. There are two types of literals: Boolean (True and False) and Type (Decimal, Integer, and String).
- Operators. There are five types of operators: Arithmetic, Comparison, Logical, Set, and String. Most of the operators are also provided as buttons in the middle of the Expression Builder.
