Description

STREET_NAME

Original street name or street name from the GAV table when a match was possible.

STR_SUFFIX

Street type like Ave. or Rd. Appropriate abbreviations are used.

STR_PRE_DIRECTION

Street directional that precedes the street name. Commonly designations like ‘N’, ‘SW’, etc.

STR_POST_DIRECTION

Street directional that follows the street name. Commonly designations like ‘N’, ‘SW’, etc.

ADDR_PRIMARY_LOW A house, rural route, or PO box number; numeric or alphanumeric component of an address preceding the street name. Often referred to as house number.

ADDR_PRIMARY_HIGH

A house, rural route, highway contract box, or PO box number; the numeric or alphanumeric component of an address preceding the street name; the low-end address in a range of address. Often referred to as house number.

ADDR_PRIMARY_OE

Code identifying the side or sides of a street for which a given address range is applicable:

 

B=Both sides of the street

E=Even side of a street (even-numbered addresses in range)

O=Odd side of a street (odd numbered addresses in range)

BLDG_FIRM_SEC_NAME

The name of a company, building, apartment complex, shopping center, or other distinguishing secondary address information. This field is used with firm and highrise records but may also contain literals such as ‘Postmaster’ or ‘United States Postal Service.’

ADDR_SECY_ABB

Secondary unit designator (Apt., Unit, etc.)

ADDR_SEC_LOW

Code that describes an apartment, room, suite, space, floor or other secondary addressing numeric or alphanumeric that follows a street address. The low-end secondary address component in a range of secondary addresses.

ADDR_SEC_HIGH

Code describing an apartment, room, suite, space, floor or other secondary addressing numeric or alphanumeric that follows a street address.

ADDR_SEC_OE

Code identifying a secondary address within a range of secondary addresses as being o(dd), e(ven), or b(oth).

POSTAL_NUMBER

USPS number assigned to area’s postal facility

POSTAL_CITY_NUMBER

USPS postal number assigned to city/state

RECORD_TYPE

Street address type:

F = Firm G = General Delivery

H = Highrise HD = Highrise Default

P = PO Box R = Rural Route S = Street

RD = Rural Route Default SD = Street Default

CARRIER_ROUTE_ID

A 4-byte code assigned to a mail delivery or collection route within a 5-digit ZIP code. The first character is alphabetical, and the last three are numeric:

Bnnn=PO box

Hnnn=Highway contract

Rnnn=Rural route

Cnnn=City delivery

Gnnn=General delivery

ALT_REC_IND

USPS base or alternate record indicator

LACS_STATUS_IND

Flag indicating the address has an emergency 911 address conversion.

Locatable Address Conversion System - An indicator that the street address known by the post office also has another address used for emergency services.

This is when mail is delivered to one location but the physical location of the building associated with that address is located elsewhere, not recognized by the post office.
