On Windows platforms the server will normally run as a Windows service. It can also be started from the Windows Services Manager or Task Manager.
For debugging purposes, the command line version of the server, gaserver.exe, can also be started directly. This is normally used in conjunction with LogToScreen set to Yes in order to view any debug output.
When starting the server from the command line, you can use the following two command line options:
-d
the directory from which to read the gaserver.ini configuration
file
-p
the network port on which to listen for requests
