Trillium Discovery Center is a browser-based application from which you add, view, manage, and analyze objects in your Trillium repository including business rules, data sources (entities), attributes, data rows, library rule sets, join analyses, and all associated metadata.
The following activities are available in Discovery Center:
Add Data Sources, Business Rules, and Relationship Analysis
To work with your data in Discovery Center, you start by adding a data source to load (or link to) your data to automatically discover information about your data, then add business rules to the data source to run additional, business- and data-specific tests and tasks against your data. To understand the relationships within and across your data sources, add join analyses, dependencies, and keys.
Examine Venn Diagrams to see join row and value information.
Search Rules, Data Sources, Join Analyses
Discovery Center provides an efficient way to search rules, data sources, and joins using queries with one or more conditions.
View Data Source Metadata and Data Rows
View information about your data sources (entities), including the date the source was created, who created it, and the number of passing and failing rows it contains. You can also drill down to view the rows of data contained in the data source attributes.
Business Rule and Data Source Graphic Summaries
Graphical summary data for business rules and data sources are available, including pie charts, relationship tables, and other graphics that give you a high-level summary view of your data.
The business rules library is a centralized location where rules sets and library rules are stored and shared. You can add, delete, import, export, or modify rule sets. Discovery Center also simplifies the task of associating rule set to data by allowing you to map rule set attributes to data source attributes of multiple data sources at once.
You can manage hundreds of business rules in the Trillium repository by modifying and deleting multiple rules in a single action. You can also add rules to the repository as needed and manage your growing number of rules in the repository by organizing them into categories.
You can view the progress of tasks run against the data repository such as business rule analysis, rule set imports, and disassociating objects from the library. The Task Manager and Task Queue list the status of jobs that were executed and provide important information when you are running multiple processes.
You can save the data displayed in most data and metadata tab rows by exporting it as a comma-separated value (CSV) file.
