You can view the progress of tasks you run in the Discovery Center on objects in the repository, such as business rule analysis, adding data sources, and key, dependency, and join analysis. A review of the tasks shows if a task is waiting, running, complete, or failed. You can also export a .CSV file of the contents in the columns of the Task Manager to your local or server system.
There are two ways to track your tasks:
- Task Manager . The Task Manager lists the status of most tasks that are run against the repository and provides information about one or multiple process tasks running at a time. Run a search to find specific tasks and identify issues.
- Task Queue . The Task Queue gives you insight into all currently running and waiting tasks regardless of panel or view you are working in. The Task Queue icon is always available from the top menu bar and shows the number of tasks currently running and waiting to run.
Note the following:
- The Task Manager and Task Queue display tasks run against all repositories on the current server.
- Depending on the analysis required, not all business rule analysis tasks are included in the list of tasks run.
- The Task ID represents the unique value for the task. In the Control Center, this value shows as the task's Ref number.
