Notes are added to data sources and attributes. You can view all available notes for
a selected data source or attribute. The views include metadata about the notes you and
others have added to the repository. You can also export one or more notes to your local
system.
To view notes for a data source

Click View Data Sources and run a data source search. On the Results: Data
Sources tab, the Notes column shows how many notes (if any) are associated with each
data source.

Click the number in the Notes column. The data source opens and the Notes tab
displays below the Data Source: Name panel, showing all notes for the current
data source and metadata such as Type (Data Source), Name (name of the data source),
subject, comments, assigned default classes and subclasses, and so on.
Note: The Notes button in the bottom-left corner of the Summary and
Properties tabs shows the number of notes for the selected data source.
Clicking the Notes button opens the Notes tab if it is not already open.

To add a new note, click Add Note. See Adding a New Note.

To edit a note, add comments, and track changes made to the note, on the Notes tab
select a row and click Edit Note or double-click the row. The Edit Note window
opens. See Editing Notes and Adding Comments.

To export notes, select the row or rows and click Export Rows. See Exporting Tab Rows.
