The Find panel on the Home page gives you the tools to quickly locate data sources. You run a search to return all data sources or filter the search with conditions to refine the results.

Search all Data Sources

To search for all data sources

  1. On the Home page, go to the Find panel.
  2. In the Choose a category drop-down list, select Data Sources.
    Note:

    This option is unavailable if there are no data sources in the repository.

  3. To find all data sources, click Find All. A results page displays showing all available data sources. To filter the results, click Filtered Search and run a search using conditions.

Run a filtered search for Data Sources

To run a filtered search for data sources

  1. On the Home page, go to the Find panel.
  2. In the Choose a category drop-down list, select Data Sources.
  3. From the filter search drop-down list, select one of the following options and enter or select associated criteria:
    Note: Text strings you enter are not case-sensitive.
    • Source Name. In the contains field,enter part or all of the data source name.
    • Description. In the contains field,enter part or all of the data source description.
    • Loaded by. In the contains field,enter the ID of the user who added the data source.
    • Passing Rules. In the equals field, enter the number of rules in the data source that passed analysis.
    • Failing Rules.In the equals field, enter the number of rules in the data source that failed analysis.
    • Source Type. In the contains field, select one of the following data source types on which to search: Cobol, Delimited, Fixed-Length, RDBMS.
  4. Click the Search icon (). Data sources matching the search criteria are shown in a filtered results view. If the search returns no match, the message No results were found using the current filter displays.
  5. To edit the filter and run another search, click Show under Filtered Search. For more information, see Searching Data Sources.
    Note: To search using additional criteria, from the navigation menu click View Data Sources.
