The Business Rules Summary shows information about a business rule,
including number and percentage of rows that passed and failed rule analysis, total rows
processed, and other analysis results. Passing and failing rules are summarized in a graphic
pie chart, along with additional filter, group, and aggregation details. You can download and
save pie charts in different file formats.

The following example shows a summary for a business rule which failed analysis by
96.79% based on a passing threshold of 100%. The rule includes Filter by and Group by
advanced options. Using the Filter option, 537 rows were excluded from the analysis.
Based on the attribute Postcode, the results were grouped into 155 categories.
Note: If a business rule is disabled, no information is available and
the rule's status will show Rule Disabled.
To view the Business Rules Summary

In the Rules Search Results view, double-click a business rule to open the Business
Rule: Name panel. If the rule has been analyzed, the Business Rules Summary
view opens on the Summary tab. If the rule has not been analyzed (or is not enabled),
click the Summary tab to open the Business Rules Summary. See Rule Summary Information and Advanced Options Summary
Information for available details.

In the left pane, hover over the pie chart to see the number of rules that passed
and the number of rules that failed validation.

(Optional) To download a copy of the pie chart and legend information, click the
chart download button (). Save the
chart as a PDF document or a PNG, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), or JPEG image file.
Note: The pie chart download is unsupported in Microsoft Edge.

If the analyzed rule includes one or more Filter, Group, or Aggregate options,
click Filter by Expression, Group by Expression, or Aggregate by
Expression to view additional summary and pie chart information.
- Pie charts display for Filter and Group options only. Click the download
button () to download and save the
pie chart as a PDF or image file.
- For Group, the pie chart legend shows the top groups returned. Groups are
listed in order, from the group with the highest percentage of grouped values, the
group with the second highest percentage of values, and so on.
- In the legend, click one or more percentages to temporarily remove the
corresponding sections from the chart (this is helpful if you need to view other
sections more clearly). Hover over a percentage to highlight that section in the
chart.
Note: These tabs are unavailable if the options are not a part of the rule's
expression.

To open summary information about the rule's data source, click the data source
name below the rule's name:

Click Done to close the Business Rules: Name panel.

Rule Summary Information

The rule summary shows the percentage of passing and failing records in a
color-coded pie chart along with the following information:
- Status of the business rule. Analyzed, Not Analyzed, or Rule
Disabled.
- Result of the rule analysis. Valid values are passed, failed, error,
no rows, unknown, null, and No Result (for disabled rules).
- Priority of the business rule.
If a rule has been analyzed, the summary view includes the following:
- Pass percentage - Fraction of rows that passed the business rule
analysis.
- Expression Failed - Number of rows that failed the business rule
analysis. Also shown as a percentage.
- Fail Count - Number of rows that failed the business rule
analysis.
- Pass Count - Number of rows that passed the business rule
analysis.
- Data validation error - Number of rows that failed the function
causing an error during business rule analysis. Also shown as a
percentage.
- Total Rows - Number of rows in the data source.
- Row Processed - Number of rows that were processed during the
business rule analysis.
- Filter-excluded rows. If the rule has a Filter by, then only those
rows that match the filter criteria are processed.
- Threshold - Percentage of rows that should comply with the business
rule.

If available, click the associated tab to view the following
information:
- Filter by Expression:
- Rule expression.
- Pie chart showing percentage of included rows, filter-excluded
rows (percentage of total rows excluded from data analysis based
on the filter criteria) and data validation error rows
(percentage of rows that caused an error during business rule
analysis).
- Included rows. Number of rows included in the filter.
- Filter-excluded rows. Number of total rows excluded from data
analysis based on filter criteria.
- Data validation error rows. Number of rows excluded from data
analysis due to errors found. If all rows have errors, the chart
is gray and no rows are filtered
- Group by Expression:
- Rule expression.
- Grouped values. Number of groups.
- Data validation error rows. Number of rows that caused an error
during business rule analysis. If all rows have errors, the
chart is gray and no values are grouped.
- Pie chart showing the percentage and rule count for the top six
groupings. If there are more than six groups, an Other section
is included as the sixth group, combining the total
rows/percentage of data not represented in the top five groups.
Hover over each chart section to see the number of rows included
in that group. If any of the group values are null or spaces,
the chart legend will display percentages for [null] and
[spaces], respectively.
- Aggregate by Expression:
- Rule expression.
- Aggregate method. Either Sum, Average, Maximum, Minimum, or
Count.
- Passing Aggregate and Failing Aggregate rows. When the Count
method is used, number of rows are shown.
- Data validation error rows. Number of rows that caused an error
during business rule analysis.
