The Attributes tab lists the attributes of a rule set and the metadata associated with them. You can add or modify attributes using the rule set schema editor.

When you open the Attributes tab, you see only the default columns. To show hidden columns or to customize your view by rearranging the order of columns, use Choosing Columns for View.

To view attributes metadata

  1. In the left navigation menu, click Library >Rules Library. The Business Rules Library opens listing all rule sets.
  2. In the Rule Sets tab, double-click a rule set to view its properties. The Rule Set: Name panel opens.

    The Rules, Attributes, and Associations tabs are located below this panel.

  3. Click the Attributes tab.
  4. View rule set attributes along with their metadata.
  5. To customize your view, click Choose Columns.
  6. To add or modify an attribute, click Add/Edit Attributes and follow the instructions in Adding and Modifying Rule Set Attributes.

Metadata of Attributes in a Rule Set

The following table lists metadata of attributes in a rule set.
Note: An asterisk (*) indicates that the column displays by default.
Default Columns Description
Attribute ID* Unique numeric value.
Attribute Name* Name of the attribute.
In Use* Indicates whether the attribute is being used by a rules in the rule set.
Date Created* Date and time when the attribute was created.
Created By* User who created the attribute.
Description A description of the attribute.
Date Changed Date and time when the library rule was changed.
Edited by User who last edited the library rule.
