You can modify any rule set in the Library at any time.
To edit rule set properties
- In the navigation menu, click Library >Rules Library. The Business Rules Library panel opens. The Rule Sets tab lists all rule sets in the repository.
- On the Rule Sets tab, double-click a rule set. The Rule Set: Name panel opens.
- In Name, change the name as necessary.
- In Description, change the description as necessary.

In the Data Attributes section, click Edit Attribute List. The Edit Rule Set Attributes window opens. To add existing attributes, click Select Source and select one of the following:
- To copy the attributes from an existing rule set, select Another Rule Set. A list of available rule sets that contain attributes displays.
- Click the rule set name you want to use.

Click Select. The attributes in the rule set are copied to the
attribute list.
Note: Any duplicate attributes are not copied.
To copy the attributes from an existing data source, select Stored Data Source. A list of available data sources displays.
- Click the data source name you want to use.

Click Select. The attributes in the data source are copied to the
list.

To add new attributes to the list:
- In the Attribute Name column, click the empty top row.

Enter the attribute name.
Note: Attribute names are case-sensitive and must be unique. For example, attributes "Broker Key" and "broker key" are recognized as different attributes.
- (Optional) Enter a brief Description.

Click the Plus button (). The attribute is added to the list. The In
Use column shows the value
No
. - Add additional attributes in the top row as needed. Click the Plus button () to save each attribute to the list.
- Click Apply to save changes and close the Edit Rule Set Attributes window.

To add a new rule to the rule set:
- Click the Rules tab to see a list of the rule set rules.
- Click Add Rule to add a new rule to the rule set.

To delete rules from the rule set:
- Click the Rules tab to see a list of the rule set rules.
- Select the rules to delete.
- Click Delete to delete the rules from the rule set.

In the Add Data Associations section, view the number of data sources that are associated with the rule set.
- If there are no data associations, you see the message: 0

. - The number is a link. Click the link to navigate to the Associations tab below the panel. This tab shows all data sources associated with the current rule set. To open a data source, double-click a row.
- If there are no data associations, you see the message: 0

You can associate rule set with data sources, copy rule set to data sources, and edit attribute mappings between rule set attributes and data source attributes. To associate data with the rule set, do one of the following:
- Click Associate.
- On the Associations tab, click Add New Association.

To disassociate data from the rule set, do one of the following:
- Click Disassociate.
- From the Associations tab, select the data source(s) you want to disassociate, then click Disassociate.
Note: This option is disabled if there are no associations. - Click Save to save your changes.
- Click the export icon to export the rule set.
- Click Done to close the panel.
