Use this procedure to remove associations between library rule sets and data sources. This procedure either deletes rule set rules from the data source or it leaves a stand-alone copy of the rule(s), with no connection to the library rule set.
To disassociate a rule set from data sources
-
Do one of the following:
- In the Rule Set: Name panel, click Disassociate.
- On the Associations tab (below the panel), select the data source(s) you want to disassociate, then click Disassociate.
The Disassociate Data from Rule Set name window opens. If you opened the window from the Associations tab, the data sources you selected are preselected.
-
Select the check box next to data sources you want to disassociate.
-
Do one of the following:
- Click Disassociate. When you select this option, the associated rules are deleted from the data sources.
- Click Disassociate - Leave a Copy. When you select this option, the rules are not deleted from the data sources, only the links to the library rules are deleted. The rules in the data source thereafter have no connections to the Business Rules Library.
-
Click Disassociate in the confirmation box. A confirmation message opens.
-
Click OK to close the message.
-
The disassociation runs as a task. View the details of the disassociation job in the Task Manager.
