Follow this procedure to grant or restrict one or more repositories access to the data connection.
- Guidelines:
-
When you add a new data connection, by default all repositories on the server are configured to access it. You can edit the list of repositories that have access to the connection. Restricting repository access to a connection ensures that users logged into that repository cannot see or use the connection when adding data sources. For example, you may want to restrict users from connecting to a certain type of external data file.
Note: Every data connection must be accessible to at least one repository.
Note: You can edit the list of repositories that have access to the connection
after the connection is added.
To edit repository access

The New Data Connection: Repository Access window has two columns:
- The Available Repositories column lists all repositories to which you

the Repository Name column heading.
