A repository stores data and metadata (information about your data) created in and used by the Discovery Center and the Administration Center, including:
- Data connections
- Data structures, contents, and relationships
- Data compliance with business rules
- Data statistics, masks, and patterns
You create one or more repositories that are then available for Discovery Center users to store their data and profiling information. Each repository is associated with one or more data connection and is contained within a specific repository server.
From the Administration Center, perform the following tasks:
- Search for repositories
- Examine repository metadata
- Add new repositories
- Modify repository properties
- Export repository metadata
- Delete repositories
