Before users can begin to work on their Discovery Center data quality projects, they first need access to their external data sources and files. They also need an object in which to store a copy of their data along with information about their data (metadata).
As an repository administrator, you are responsible for creating and managing user's access to:
- Repositories. Each time a user logs in to the Discovery Center, they select a repository in which to work. Repositories reside on the repository server system and contain the data and metadata users need to profile, analyze, and manage data projects.
- Data Connections. Users need a unique and secure connection from the repository server to their external data so that they load (or link to) their data for use in the Discovery Center.
Note: The repositories and connections you add and manage in the Administration Center may be
visible in the Trillium Control Center and Repository Manager applications, depending on
how user access is configured.
