SOEXCPEC=YES/NO By setting the SOEXCPEC=YES/NO parameter and using either Installation option or Run time parameter, the SORTOUT encryption feature can be turned ON or OFF. This feature supports basic and large format files using EXCP encryption macros.
This option specifies whether to use EXCP encryption method for SORTOUT data sets during the SORT process.
SOEXCPEC=YES
The delivered default enables the use of EXCP encryption method for SORTOUT data sets. You do not have to relink the SYNCMAC options to get the expected result.
SOEXCPEC=NO
This disables the use of EXCP encryption method for SORTOUT data sets.
To disable this enhanced function globally, the SYNCMAC options must be relinked with SOEXCPEC=NO. Or, you can pass the run time parameter per job level.
The function is activated on applying the following prerequisite IBM PTFs. The WER566I message will be displayed if MFX uses the EXCP interface successfully to encrypt SORTOUT data set.
