If you are upgrading Acquire from versions older than v8.80 and you capture VMware data,
you must enter a URL that points to the Web Services API on the VMware vCenter machine
into the target definition in System Manager and resend that target’s Capture Profile.
Typically, this URL will be of the form:
https://<
machinename
>/sdk
Note that the sdk on the end must be entered in lower case, and without a
trailing / character.
It does not matter if vCenter is provided as a Linux appliance or in a Windows system, all Acquire for Windows needs to capture VMware data is connectivity and permission to log in to the URL as detailed above.
