Note:
Due to changes in the application of registry updates, if
you upgrade the product you will receive a message requesting to “restart
windows.” Please ignore this message and select “restart later.” DO NOT reboot
at this time.
If you choose to reboot, an important update will not be applied. If you
choose to reboot, once the machine is back online you can run the executable
“FixAtheneCCRegistry.exe” located in the Hotfix folder.
Due to significant changes to the installer introduced in v12.00, upgrading from any
version earlier than 12.00 to this version of Syncsort™ Capacity Management or Athene to
Syncsort™ Capacity Management is not supported. Upgrading is only allowed from v12.00 and
later.
To upgrade from an older version (earlier than v12.00) of Syncsort™ Capacity Management or
Athene to the current version, you must uninstall all older versions and perform a
manual installation.
Note: This version of the Syncsort™ Capacity Management installer
can detect previously installed versions of Athene, but does not reliably instruct
you to uninstall older versions to upgrade.
Because you cannot upgrade this
version of the Syncsort™ Capacity Management from a version earlier than v12.00, you will
be asked to specify all the configuration details again during the installation (for
example, Control Center account details). Therefore, before you uninstall older versions
of Syncsort™ Capacity Management or Athene, we recommend collecting your current
configuration information to use during the new installation:
