In previous versions of Acquire for z/OS you could choose to have zAAP and zIIP usage
converted to CP-equivalent or not by use of the ZNORM
= parameter.
If you are upgrading from a version of Athene prior to 11.10, all stored zAAP and zIIP
metrics will automatically be converted to their normalized value, and in Acquire and
Syncsort™ Capacity Management the setting ZNORM=Y
is now always in
effect.
The Syncsort™ Capacity Management Portal provides the denormalized metrics in reporting in
items labelled <metric name [R] units>
; for example,
Charged zIIP Time [R] secs
– the [R] denotes the “raw” value.
You may have to manually adjust your reporting after upgrading to show the “raw” metrics if that is what you were doing. There is no automatic way to do this.
