If there is another web application installed on the IIS server which uses port 443 or any other application is using port 443 (e.g., Skype) the Portal will install correctly, but IIS will not start the web site and access to the Portal using a web browser will be prevented.

When attempting to start the Syncsort™ Capacity Management Portal Website in the IIS Manager it will display a message like this: “Cannot start the web site, the 443 port is being used by another process”. Or this: “Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070020)”.

To resolve this issue, change the port the Syncsort™ Capacity Management Portal Web Site uses, or change the port used by the other application.
