To use this feature the SNMP service must be installed and turned on, on the Control Center server. If you are unsure about doing this, contact your Windows system administrator for assistance.

Configure the SNMP Service, setting the trap community and destinations.

Ensure that the SNMP Service is started within the Services list.

Add the following registry keys to the Control Center machine, making sure the PathName key uses the location of the installed version of the Syncsort™ Capacity Management Core package:
Important! Use cautionl doing this as misconfiguring the Windows registry can cause system or application malfunctions. If you are in doubt about this, contact your Windows system administrators for assistance.
You can copy and paste these keys into a text file called SNMP.reg then double click on it to load RegEdit and create or update these keys in the Windows registry.

In System Manager turn on SNMP alerting for the targets the alerts need to be raised against.
