Error messages

Errors clearly indicate that something has interrupted the standard behavior of the Control Center and that remedial action is required.

The Control Center will record any error message that affects its operation, regardless of its source; for example, SQL Server, Microsoft .NET library, etc.

Consequently it is not practical or meaningful to list all potential errors here. Instead, this section includes some fairly common errors that can often be resolved without the need for software changes.

  • If errors persist, contact Precisely Support and be prepared to provide the appropriate diagnostic information.

As a minimum, when raising a Control Center issue, the complete Control Center log file which includes the error should be provided. Ideally this will include messages recorded at “All Messages” messaging level.

If the call relates to files being rejected, then also be prepared to provide a selection of bad files. This will speed up diagnosis of the problem.
