File is empty
|
Data file has zero size; e.g., sar file may be empty.
The
five main causes of empty files are:

The wrong Acquire being installed for the OS
-
The wrong OS selected in System Manager
-
The OS on the Target requires patching or has been recently
patched
-
Corruption of files on transfer
-
On a busy server the abut time needs to be increased to allow
the Acquire longer to finish Capture before starting the
next interval. This is changed in System Manager under the
Target details -> UNIX options tab increase the ‘xx’ in
the “Skip sample if previous sample overruns by more than XX
seconds”?

For UNIX capture check that the Acquire is installed
correctly.

AC File too large (<x>MB)
|
AC files can be no larger than 50MB compressed, 400MB
uncompressed.

In System Manager either:

Error reading archive<error message> Cause

The Windows data file is not of the expected format, e.g., the
file is corrupt.

General issues reading a Windows data file, e.g., sharing
violation.

Confirm Virus scans, Indexing and Backups are turned off/excluded
for the Syncsort™ Capacity Management …\work directory and
subdirectories and the …\Logs directory
