File Collection errors are also logged in files with the string “AXL305” in them, for each target, for each hour of the day. They are compressed and house-kept in the same way that Control Center logs are. In addition, if you have SSH connections to targets, you will see log files with “SSH” in their name, again per target, per hour. There will only be data in the SSH log files if the last connection failed. If the connections worked without issue, the file may exist but will be 0KB in size. Many of these errors can be resolved if you follow the flow charts in Troubleshooting Control Center Capture and Collection. For the majority of collection errors we would follow the steps below to try and diagnose the issue:
-
Try connecting to the target outside Syncsort™ Capacity Management using the Control Center user.
-
Check permissions of the Control Center user.
-
Check Connection details in System Manager (including the timeout).
-
SFTP only: try a manual sftp connection.
-
SFTP only: check the path to SSH within the System Manager, Control Center pane is correct.
