If you need to encrypt the contents of your SQL Server database you can use the Microsoft-provided feature called Transparent Data Encryption (TDE). As its name suggests, this encryption is invisible to applications, so you need make no changes to Syncsort™ Capacity Management if you want to use TDE. It has been tested by us for functionality, but not regarding any performance impact it may have - this will vary depending on the exact configuration of your SQL Server environment - if clustering or availability groups are in effect, physical or virtual machine properties, network capabilities, how many target systems you have, the frequency of updates and access and so on.
