Pull collection by Control Center, if connectivity is permitted from the Control Center machine to a USS directory on your mainframe. This is the normal way that most other operating systems have their data collected by Syncsort™ Capacity Management. Files are deleted by Control Center after copying them has completed.
Push from the mainframe to the Control Center machine, which has the advantage that this can happen as soon as the data file has been created. With this method, it is the user’s responsibility to delete processed files from the mainframe, or perhaps use a GDG to manage files.
Syncsort™ Capacity Management and Acquire support both means of copying data, and they each have advantages and disadvantages. You must choose the one that best suits your need and your environment.
If you want to push data out from the mainframe you can use AVMPUSH program to help automate that activity.
