You can process data through Acquire from The Monitor for CICS ™ (usually just called TMON/CICS) from ASG.
Acquire processes the history records that TMON/CICS, known as the type “TA” records. This data is stored in sequential files that are variable blocked (not spanned like SMF data), so if it is to be used, you must provide a new DD name in the Acquire JCL of //TMONCICS to point to the incoming data.
Once Acquire has read this data, it is treated no differently to data from SMF type 110 records within the remainder of Syncsort™ Capacity Management.
Acquire detects and deal with TMON/CICS data that is compressed.
