One of the functions of Acquire is to create Workload Components that can be used by the Syncsort™ Capacity Management Planner component. By default, Acquire creates one workload component for each service class found in RMF type 72 records. However, if a particular service class is used by TSO, then Acquire creates two workload components: one for transactions that ended in period 1, and the other for all transactions that ended in any later period.
You also have the option to create all the Planner workload components directly from Report Class data. This is particularly useful if you have defined your Report Classes carefully, so that every unit of work running on your system belongs to a Report Class.
