Use of DYNAGDG= requires the presence of a sequential file called //LASTGDG, as described above. If you want to have Acquire automatically set the SDATE= and STIME= parameters to avoid double processing of data you can include this file name in JCL without using DYNAGDG=. In this case, you must allocate your input data to the //SMFDATA file name as normal.

Acquire will then process the data and store the “next start date and time” in //LASTGDG for its next run.
