- In System Manager, open the Control Centers panel, select the Control Center and click Edit.
- In the FTP Push Server Details area, select the Try New Password box and enter the new password (twice).
- Do not blank out or change the existing password yet.
- Resend all the Capture Profiles.
This will inform each Acquire that there is a pending password change before it actually takes place, to ensure that each Acquire can access the Push Server before and after the change.
Note that the push Acquires cannot start using the new password until they have retrieved the updated Capture Profiles. The longest Retrieve Component associated with a push Acquire determines the minimum time lag between the profiles being sent to the FTP server and all the Acquires receiving the new details. Therefore at least this amount of time must elapse between sending the new password information, and the password actually being changed.
-
Now, after the changed Capture Profiles have all been retrieved, you can change the password on the FTP server.
-
When you have changed the password on the FTP server, go to the FTP Push Server Details dialog, change the current FTP password and uncheck the Try New password check box.
