This section describes the Windows and SQL Server user privileges required for installing, running and administering Syncsort™ Capacity Management. The equivalent information for Acquire is contained within the Acquire installation instructions.
All Syncsort™ Capacity Management applications connect to the Capacity Database using Windows Authentication for SQL Server. Therefore, you must install all components on the same domain or there must be a trust relationship between the domains.

Syncsort™ Capacity Management only uses Windows authentication to SQL Server.

The Windows and SQL Server username requirements do not apply when installing Portal and Job Scheduler.

Syncsort™ Capacity Management Concentrator install has a smaller set of Windows user requirements, as described in the section Installing Syncsort™ Capacity Management Concentrator.
