To install Concentrator, you must specify a user or system account to run the Concentrator service. There are two main options:
  1. Choose to run the services under one of the three built-in service accounts:
    • Local System, which gives full privileges to the running service

    • Local Service, which is a Least Privileged User account with no network credentials

    • Network Service, which is a Least Privileged User but with network credentials.

As stated earlier, it is recommended using the Local System account unless specified otherwise.

  2. Run the services under a named user account, as shown in Syncsort™ Capacity Management Installer – Specify Concentrator Account Information.

  3. Choose whichever option is appropriate in your environment, and click Next.
Note: If a target system has its collection set up from a network share and authentication is via the Concentrator account, ensure that the account is valid.
  4. Select the appropriate option and click Next.
Installation of the Concentrator applications is now ready to begin.
