Table Management enables you to modify an existing tables, delete a table from Spectrum Spatial Insights, and access the Variable Management page.



Field Description

Selected Indicates the selection.
Actions Click to perform an action from the list. Click the cog icon to select an action from the list.
Variable Name The name of the variable. You can choose a different variable from the drop-down list.
Description The description for the variable
Data Type

The data type for the variable. Data types include:

  • System.String
  • System.Int32
  • System.Single
  • System.Double
  • Microsoft.SqlServer.Types.SqlGeometry
Max Length

This applies to System.String data types. All other data types should be set to -1. For System.String, enter in the maximum length value for the largest variable in that column.

Format

Contains the display format for numerical variables. Common variable types include::

  • #,##0
  • #,##0.0
  • $#,##0
  • #,##0.0%
Merge Rule

A rule associated with each numerical attribute. Whenever geographies are merged, (as in summarizing), the merge rule is used to automatically assign a value for the attribute of the merged geographies from the values of the individual geographies that are being merged. The available rules are (1) sum (for example household count), (2) average, and (3) weighted average (for example, median HH income).
