Vector data can be categorized into three types: point, line (or arc), and polygon. Spectrum Spatial Insights enables you to create a thematic map on a vector layer containing points, lines, or polygons.

A thematic map is a type of map that portrays the geographic pattern of data in a geographic area.

The layer can be styled based on the layer's attribute values.

Note: The Vector thematic feature is available to the users of Spectrum Spatial Insights only.

Spectrum Spatial Insights supports the following types of thematic maps.

  • Grouped
  • Ranged
  • Dot Density

Polygons data is classified by the fill color of the polygon. Line and point features display the classification using the color of the feature as well as the size of the point. The size of the feature on the map can be set and linked to the classification.

You can also customize the fill pattern and border style, color, and width.
