The Multi-select feature in Spectrum Spatial Analyst supports the following marque-based selection tools. These tools help you in either selecting or de-selecting groups of features.
You can use a marque-based selection using a square, circle, or polygon for either selecting or de-selecting multiple features on a layer.
The two secondary buttons 
or 
allow you to choose whether a marque-based selection adds to or subtracts from the
selection. The default is to add to the selection.

Point | Click or touch the Point icon to select one or more features on the map. The point click tool toggles a feature selection on or off. |
