Regardless of the operating system, you must have latest version of the Java 11 JDK (64-bit) installed to run Spectrum Technology Platform.

Before you install or upgrade Spectrum Technology Platform, set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to the JAVA 11 directory.

Before you install or upgrade Spectrum Technology Platform, add the Java 11 bin directory to the PATH environment variable.

Note: To change the Java installation on a system that is currently running the Spectrum Technology Platform, you must stop Spectrum before performing changes to the Java installation. Restart Spectrum only after you complete the changes.
