The smart consolidation process works in tandem with the smart match process and gives you a seamless experience in resolving duplicates and getting the best of breed record. Follow these steps for smart consolidation:
- Publish the smart match rule and match key.
- Click the Begin Consolidation button on the workflow. You are navigated to the Column Selection screen of the Smart Consolidation process. The consolidation columns are auto-selected. These show the fields that are part of the match rule.
- Start the matching process.
Note: The advantage here is, you do not need to worry about the internal matching
fields, such as CollectionNumber,
matchscore, and match recordtype,
as these fields are provided by the linked match rule and key. However, if you want,
you can select the fields manually as well. However, it doesn't work in case of JDBC
connection.
Note: You can click the
Edit button on the Smart Consolidation
Rule page to select any other match rule and match key according to
your needs.
