After you successfully configure the source, you are navigated to the Source Details page, which lists all the rules and match keys for a particular source and the rules for all the tables in case of a connection type data source. You can switch between different table descriptions from the drop-down list to view the associated rules and keys. You can choose between the Matching and Consolidation process to create the relevant rules and match keys based upon your needs on this page. This page also lists the published and saved matching and consolidation rules and match keys, if any, which you can choose to enhance further based upon your needs.

Note: In case you edit any of the existing rules or match keys, it will be over-written.
To create a new rule, do as follows:
  • Click the Create matching rule button to create a matching rule, which navigates you to the Match Rule Type page to choose between manual or smart match rule. For more information, see Creating Manual Match Rule and Creating Smart Match Rule, or
  • Click the Create consolidation rule button to create a consolidation rule, which navigates you to the Rule Type page to choose between manual or smart consolidation rule. For more information, see Creating Manual Consolidation Rule.

To create a new match key, click the Create Match Key button in the Matching section. For more information, see Creating Match Key.

Viewing published and draft rules and match keys on source details page

When a rule or match key is saved or published, it is available in the following states:
  • Draft - Indicates that the rule or match key is in a preliminary state and does not exist in the repository.
  • Published - Indicates that the rule or match key exists in the repository, and a new rule or match key with the same name cannot be created.
The Source Details page lists the published and draft rules or match keys in a card format, which contains this information:
  • Created By: Displays the user who created the rule or match key.
  • Last Updated: Displays the date and time when the rule or match key was last updated in DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM format.
  • Rule Type: Displays if the rule is a smart rule or a manual rule.

    Moreover, you can also perform these operations on the card:

    Edit rule/match key

    Click to edit a rule/match key. If you click, you are navigated to the rule/match key to edit it further.

    Delete rule/match key

    Click to delete the rule/match key.

    Expand

    Click to expand the card to view the data.

    Collapse

    Click to collapse the card to hide the data.

This page gives you the filtering capabilities to limit the published and draft cards. On the top-right corner of the page, use these Filter By options:
Note: By default, both the published and draft rules/match keys are displayed.
  • To view the published rules/match keys only, click the Published button.
  • To view the draft rules/match keys only, click the Draft button.
  • To view both published and draft rules/match keys, click the Clear button.
